World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of an item can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Based on the type of upgrade, it can increase the rarity of an item, or its Mark Level and increase other stats.
Upgrades to equipment in The War Within requires a certain number of Flightstones and Crests, and each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a specific amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's basic stats increase when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all the leveled up advantages (attack, magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive, depending on who you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to how many perks have to be replaced to allow the item to get upgraded.
Item level is a widely used measure of power, and can be seen on all tooltips of items. It can also be used as a gating requirement while waiting to queue for dungeons and raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). Players can see their average level of item on their character sheet.
Using the item level can help players compare the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's an indicator of the damage and quality. Comparing items in a vendor's stock is possible using the item level.
On PC, you can view the item level by pressing ALT or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the item's full description, including the ilvl. It can also be found by hovering over an item with the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel in chat.
There are many theories about how the level of an item is determined. item upgrader says that the level of an item is determined by an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats actually are. It considers the fact that various perks have different value and gems in sockets add to the overall value of the item. This can result in a calculated amount for the item's level, which is typically close to Blizzard's real item level.
This is not the only factor that affects the value of an item. The level of the area where the item dropped can also alter its stats. For instance, it could increase the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big element in what makes or breaks an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and also to stop one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats of a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat modification that are in turn increased by the player's skill.
Upgrades to the item add by increasing certain stats of the item. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, whereas an item with rare tiers can be upgraded many times, at higher costs.
Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. item upgrader are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes could do things like give the item additional damage, add a special capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or reducing the cooldowns), or make the item unique by adding an exclusive name to the item.
At present, all affixes can be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circling arrows. This will cost a specific amount in gold and items. They can also be used as upgrade gauges as with other rerolling methods.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which of the available stats to keep on an item when it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will contain at least one stat within the range, unless they are a unique item, or the item is a God Roll from a raid boss.
This is another aspect that can be modified by introducing an option to upgrade the equipment without rolling the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. As with base equipment, it must be done per item and the interface for item comparison wouldn't display all possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player increases the chance of finding items and the properties that are generated by loot, and the intensity of these properties. However, it doesn't directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade item s. It provides players with the chance to upgrade gear earlier in the game. This is particularly beneficial in the early game, because players tend to put defenses and weapon scaling over raw damage gains.
Luck can also increase the chances of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each level of the item and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be made or spawn by using the Luck property, with the default value of 40. These items can then be upgraded with golden ingots, spined leather or oak boards (depending on the type of material used) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the luck of the item up to 140.
Additionally some items, like the Hollow infused weapon can be outfitted to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by 5percent. These items can be found in the shops or made by using the appropriate ingredients.
Item Failure
Not all upgrades are successful. Cash shop items can be used to boost the chances of success for an upgrade, or to protect players from losing their item if it does not work.
The success rate of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the chances of completing the upgrade successfully and can be enhanced by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The chance of success can only be increased as much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an can be affected by the Luck of that item. All items have an average success rate of 25% and each item with Luck increases the chance of success by an additional 5%.
Note that item upgrades are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects can be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
